In short - Octaplex is a vision of a safe space connecting multiple projects, brands, companies, communities and individuals into an online network of sharing and growth. We are striving to guide DeFi into it's further evolution built on better foundations and with a more positive focus. The concept of our project is spread into different aspects including our vision, tokenomics, yield rewarding and networking aspects. They all provide different but significant values to the project to create a fully functional network which serves for the benefit of all.

The core team consists of 5 members based in europe. we have mixed experience levels, ranging from 10+ years in the crypto space to people who joined the DeFi space a few months ago, spotting opportunities in DeFi. We all come from different backgrounds aswell. So we have a great mixture of education, dedication and experience.

Good question. We're always working to make our vision come true. Our tokenomics work in a unique way as we tried to build something unique and progressive. That's also why we decided not to fork an existing thing.
Our tokenomics include our rewards system, where holders can gain rewards for holding in multiple currencies, random airdrops, a lottery funtion and price stabilizing mechanics like a buyback and burn function (that's not created artificially by a bot). So to release a contract like this is amilestone on it's own.
other milestones of the project so far:
Dapp - where holders can choose up to 6 different currencies out of a variety - including our partner's tokens (yup NOVA will soon be part of it :))
Lots of partnerships in the network, all hand selected and legitimate project by good people who share our vision
an amazing community of supporters and believers in the project - we love them
and one that's going to be upcoming soon (not allowed to tease yet - but we overdeliver on our roadmap - psst)

so our main goals until end of year are:
-Reworking the website to depict our vision and the project better than the current one, also building up our brand as recognizable as possible
-Whitepaper V2 for the same reasons
-Developing social media strategies to attract new audience (everyone want's to hear about marketing i know that haha)
-Further increasing the network through valuable partnerships
-A big development goal we are working on is the online space for our network, where our community, projects and companies/influencers will be able to connect into a tangible network of sharing, assistance and growth.
-Building up our swap dapp- so our users can easily get our partner's tokens on the get go (won't be a beautiful DEX like ShibaNova but a layer to easily buy NOVA aswell 🤑)
-and last but not least getting into the planning phases of our big future developments

What do you think has been the biggest challenge getting off the ground? I'm looking at your project and really its a no brainer to support a quality project like yours!

Captain:
- One of the biggest challenges was creating the contract itself. As mentioned, it was written from scratch, Zander did an amazing job on that through sleepless nights. This was not an easy task since our contract includes lots of different mechanics and features, which all had to be first thought out well enough, and later implemented into the code and tested thoroughly. We had a couple issues on testnet and with a little help from our partners we managed to get it flawlessly working the way it should. Before we deployed to mainnet (or better said as part of the process) we got a rigorous audit done by brewlabs.
- also keeping the investors interested and patient through realizing that this is not a short term pump and dump project. we're in a space of quick money and people see any project on bsc as such.
- There were also attempts to disregard the project through fake contracts, fake telegram groups, impersonators and even a fake presale, and recently a coordinated fud campaign.
we went through all of that and that's what many projects have to deal with. but we rise up stronger than ever. if you cut a hydra's head, two will follow. (note that our buyback is called "The Hydra" and it grew a mascot for us)

That’s an easy one - we share the same Vision. What you call “DeFi 2.0” is in its essence the main reason we created the Octaplex ecosystem. Together we can change the space to a better place. A space without all these scams and rugpulls. A space where investors can freely deposit their hard earned money and be sure they will not become a victim. A space where projects can get the content they paid for without having to verify a million times that they do not talk to a scammer. A space where projects can cooperate and put their heads together to create new, innovative ideas that drive the whole space forward. This is just the beginning. There’s so much potential for everyone participating either in the ShibaNova and/or the Octaplex ecosystem. I think we can’t even estimate that today. We are building the future of DeFi together (nice spot to bring up our slogan - huh? 😂), as a unit and strong allies.

I love this question because this is one of the core values that has driven us at Octaplex. We spent months developing our smart contract + tokenomics model and went through a rigorous audit and test phases.
What I can say about the contract itself, apart from protection against reentrancy and other malicious attacks etc, funds derived from buy/sell/transfer tax are all stored in seperate 'pots' in bnb on our contract. Once the funds go into these pots they can only be used for their intended purpose and not accessed by anyone else. For example holder rewards are sent to your personal bnb 'pot' each recalculation cycle and then converted to your chosen payout currencies that can only be sent to your contract address.
For marketing funds we implemented a gnosis multisignature safe.
All additional tokens not in circulation are also locked into the token contract and can only trickle into circulation as a suppliment to the liquidity we inject back into our main liquidity pool.

Absolutely! And I trust that everyone in the team would agree with this as well. We are aware that holder count is important, but it is not our primary focus but we see it as a result that comes from being focused on the right aspects of the project.

We have a one week cycle where the TOTW is up, visible in our dApp and in which everyone that claims his rewards during that period earns 5% on top of their earnings in the TOTW.

In the Octaplex team we do not believe in the outdated idea that one can succeed only by pushing other down, our motivation comes from exactly the opposite of that - we wish to help everyone mutually grow regardless of their role in the network.
One of the benefits our users have by being a part of the Octaplex Network is that their requests or questions are taken into consideration and we always do our best to be there for them if something is needed, along with our great modding team. Transparency is one the factors that differentiates us from most other projects, as we always try our best to develop better relations with our community members and supporters!
Another benefit is the fact that our efforts are here to create a safe ecosystem, meaning that our users will have an increased safety in getting involved into our ecosystem's projects. We do not just randomly add projects to it, but each project is carefully evaluated along with meeting the team behind it.
Now to answer tha part about our plans to reach new investors.
We are, just like in development, aiming for a continuous and steady, but as efficient as possible marketing. One of the goals our marketing efforts have is to create a long term widespread promotional network that will stay in place for a long time, instead of just creating a short term hype.

So. Our sell tax is time variable and reduces with time until it reaches 15%
Buy tax is fixed at 10%
I advice that you have a look at our whitepaper for a full breakdown of the tax allocations.
- How rewards given are calculated
All rewards are accumilated from tax into a 'holder pot' which fills up with bnb untill the next calculation cycle starts. This cycle then iterates through the list of holders, and updates the rewards of each holder during contract interactions. This happens at least once per week for a full cycle.
- How to change the rewards to a different token
You can customize all your rewards on our dapp (which you have to find on our website😅) here you can select up to 6 different payout tokens from our list of trusted projects and altcoins and also claim your rewards manually at any time
- Are rewards automatically added to wallet or need to be harvested manually - & how frequently?
Both - for those not in a rush we have automatic payouts running in the background. They are slow, but free. If you are in a rush to claim your funds you can always claim manually as well - Saturdays are off peak and cheapest for claiming. Reward cycles are approximately one week long.
You also get a bonus in the promoted token of the week when claiming 😉
